Hi Jim! Thank you for your question. You may check on the video output of your microphone. Some televisions need the NTSC setting while some televisions need the PAL mode. You may choose the setting that will be fit for your new television. Hope this information helps. Take care!

You may check on the settings of the microphone like the tempo/echo settings of it. Your TV might be requiring specific settings from the microphone.

    Hello Admin,

As per your response on Nov 14, It seems we can change the settings NTSC or PAL on the Microphone.. If this is correct, Can you please specify how I can change these settings…I am not getting color display on my New LED TV, also, I am getting noticable delayed voice from my TV Speakers, which can not be adjusted using Tempo/Echo Settings..

    Thanks,

      Hi Gaby!

Are you using the microphone with a song chip? There might be some songs that are conflicting with each other, especially if they have the same number. It can also be that some settings might need to be changed on the microphone. Calling the place where you purchase your microphone will be the best thing to do. This way, you will be instructed with the right things to do.

    Hi Admin

We have a Magic Sing ET13K that comes with a free chip. When we used it for the first time all songs are working fine. However when we are using it last night, the songs from the free chip are not being loaded anymore..please advise…

      Hi Tom!

Was there any changes made on the settings of the microphone before this happened? If there’s none, you may try connecting the song chip on the other slots instead. This is to check if there is a problem on the slot or on the song chip itself. If you have checked everything and still the microphone is not able to detect it, you can contact our Service center and have them manually check on the microphone and on the song chip. Their number is 714-578-0004 or 866-827-6632.

Do both of the microphones worked well before? Was this the only time that the other microphone did not work? You may check on the settings of the different microphones just to see if it is all correct. You might want to check on the manual that comes with it too. Hi Lalaine!

What’s the type of the microphone you have? May we also know the reason why you want to connect it into a receiver? The microphone might not be able to work with a receiver or their might be some settings on the receiver as well as the microphone that needs to be checked. It will be best if you will get in touch with the company that you have purchased the microphone from to verify if the microphone can work with a receiver.

      Hi Barbara!

What type of microphone do you have? When you say that you set the echo to zero, was that the echo settings of the microphone? How about checking the sound settings of your TV too. Probably, there might be some settings with the sounds that are conflicting. It will also be helpful if you will be able to tell us the exact model number of your microphone. This is for us to see if it is compatible with your television.

    Hi,

My magic sing works perfectly until my daughter drop it. when I try it again the monitor of my TV becomes black and white.

Any suggestion how to fix it

      Hi Ed!

You need to check on the NTSC/PAL mode settings of the microphone. This is causing the television to show black and white images.

      Thanks!

My unit (non-wireless ET14K) is defaulted to PAL mode. I need NTSC but switch method does not work. (Holding the 8 or 9 while powering up does not work.) Is there another way to switch to NTSC?

    • January 12, 2012

      admin

      Hi Bry!

You are correct. The ET14K is defaulted to PAL mode. Unfortunately, we were not able to carry this kind of microphone that is why we do not have the troubleshooting steps on how to change it to NTSC mode. Holding the 8 or 9 key only works for microphones which the video settings can be changed.

      Thanks.

        Hi,

I have the same problem with my ET14K (wired version). It will not switch to NTSC using the conventiional method of holding down ’9′ and ‘PWR’. The manual says nothing about switching between PAL and NTSC. Any help is much appreciated.

        Regards,
        Ash

    Baby

i have ET9K it has two problems, first was they keypad is not working properly and it is choosing number by itself automatically with the number 11111, Secondly when i had a chance to choose a number the play/stop button isnt working as well. I tried the power button and 0 but it just powered down and doesn’t show any user reset . it just stay power off . i hope you can answer my question. Thanks

PS. Is my 2 year warranty will be honored here in United States ? i bought it in dealer here in United States

    • January 12, 2012

      admin

      Hi Baby!

The number 1 button might be stuck that is why it keeps on choosing the number 1. You can check on it just to make sure. It may also be the reason why it’s not allowing you to choose the other buttons. You can shake the microphone but not too much. Regarding the warranty coverage, it will be best if you will contact the place where you purchase the microphone from. This is because, usually, they have service centers for their own microphones.

      Thanks.

    James

I have had my magic mic for a few years now. But it seems that there is a delay from the microphone to the sound output. There is a one second delay from when you sing to when it comes out of the speakers. the music is fine, it is just the microphone delay. I have already set the echo down to its lowest setting and have recalibrated my receiver with the microphone on and off. Both do not help. Please help.

      Hi James!

Your television might not be compatible with the sound settings of your microphone. You can try using another speaker instead.

      Thank you.

Please update us in regards to conflicts with magicsing mics and newer LCD flatscreens. Is it true that there is going to be a delay in sound from the speakers of newer TVs? What is the current thougth as to why this happens and if there is a way to avoid it.
