The industry is just so full of testosterone, this, Ludacris thought. And thus, he wanted to put a good mix of estrogen. Or and easier term would perhaps be he wanted to put a good mix between a sperm and egg cells.
With the upcoming release of his Battle of the Sexes album, the Atlanta rapper decided to inject what he felt was a much-needed does of femininity in the hip-hop scene. As a male-dominated industry, he felt like females need more voice. So he went out tapping got women from the past, the present and future – everyone, from Lil’ Kim, Eve, Trina, etc. to get feedback on how they think about the album.
In reality, Luda wanted to model the album after collaborative LPs Jay-Z and Foxy Brown, and the Notorious BIG and Lil Kim once promised but never delivered. So Luda decided to revamp sexes into an expanded effort.
Among of the notable artists who are to appear on the record include Monica and Crime Mob’s Diamond. Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Flo Rida and Gucci Mane are also featured on the album.
The Battle of the Sexes track list, according to Def Jam:
